Terms of Service
Last updated: September 20, 2026
These Terms govern your use of this website and the repair, maintenance and inspection services provided by AUTOMASTER ("we," "us," "our") at our workshop in Phoenix, Arizona. By using the Site or leaving a vehicle with us for work, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.
1. Use of the Site
The Site is provided for information about our workshop and services. You agree to use it lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use automated means to extract content in bulk.
Service descriptions, typical repair times and any price ranges shown are provided in good faith for guidance only. They are not an offer, a quotation, or a guarantee that a given repair will cost or take a particular amount.
2. Services and Appointments
Appointments may be made by telephone or email using the contact details on this Site. We do not use online booking forms and we do not accept bookings through third-party platforms unless we say so in writing.
- Appointment times are estimates. Delays caused by parts availability, prior jobs or vehicle condition may occur, and we will tell you as soon as we know.
- You confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle or are authorised by the owner to request work on it.
- We may decline any job, including where we do not have the equipment, information or capacity to do it properly.
3. Estimates and Authorisation
No chargeable work begins without your authorisation. The process is:
- You describe the symptoms and we tell you the cost of diagnosis, if any.
- We inspect and test the vehicle and provide a written estimate covering parts, labour and applicable taxes.
- You approve the estimate by telephone, email or in person; we record the approval against your job.
- If additional faults are found once work has started, we stop, contact you, and obtain approval for any additional cost before continuing.
Verbal estimates are confirmed in writing before work proceeds. Where you ask us to proceed without a written estimate, you authorise us to carry out the work at our standard labour rate and to supply the parts required.
4. Parts
- We fit OEM or OEM-equivalent parts from verified suppliers unless you ask otherwise and we agree in writing.
- Parts you supply yourself are not covered by our parts warranty; our labour warranty still applies to the fitting.
- Replaced parts are kept for your inspection and are available at collection. Parts not collected within 30 days may be disposed of.
- Where a part carries a manufacturer's warranty, claims are made through the manufacturer and their terms apply.
5. Payment
- Payment is due on collection unless credit terms have been agreed in writing in advance.
- We accept cash, major credit and debit cards, and bank transfer. We do not accept cheques without prior agreement.
- Additional storage charges may apply to vehicles not collected within five business days of a completion notice.
- Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.
6. Vehicle Storage and Mechanics Lien
Please read this section. Vehicles left with us are held at your risk for loss or damage not caused by our negligence. We carry garage-keepers insurance.
- We may store the vehicle before, during and after work. Storage is free for the first five business days after you are told the work is complete.
- After that period a daily storage charge may apply, and you are responsible for it.
- If a vehicle is not collected and the invoice is not paid, we may exercise our rights under Arizona law, including the statutory lien for repair services, and may take the steps permitted by law to recover the amounts owed. We will give written notice to the address, email or telephone number you provided before taking any such step.
- You are responsible for any tolls, parking fines or traffic citations incurred while the vehicle is in our possession during testing.
7. Test Drives and Personal Property
We may road-test the vehicle as part of diagnosis, repair and quality control. Please remove valuables and personal items before dropping the vehicle off. We are not responsible for personal property left in the vehicle.
You must tell us about any aftermarket security device, immobiliser or wheel lock, and provide the means to operate it. We are not responsible for damage caused by an undisclosed device.
8. Warranty
We warrant our repairs for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first, on the parts we supply and the labour we perform. Full details of what is covered and excluded are set out on our Warranty page, which forms part of these Terms.
The warranty does not cover wear items, damage from accident, misuse, overheating, lack of maintenance, or work carried out by others after our repair. It is in addition to, and does not replace, any statutory rights you have.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — text, layout, graphics and logos — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused commercially without written permission. The AUTOMASTER name and wordmark may not be used without our consent.
10. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided "as is." While we keep information accurate, we do not warrant that the Site is error-free or continuously available. Diagnosis is a professional opinion based on the condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection; it is not a guarantee that no other fault exists or will not develop. See our Service Disclaimer for details.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AUTOMASTER AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PROFITS OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SITE OR OUR SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total liability for any claim relating to a repair is limited to the amount you paid for that repair. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AUTOMASTER and its personnel from any claims, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your failure to disclose information about the vehicle that affects the work we perform.
13. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms, the Site or our services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Your continued use of the Site, or your delivery of a vehicle for work after the change, constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, our Warranty terms and any signed estimate or work authorisation, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and our services.
